About Boxyard RTP
With more than 300 companies on its campus, Research Triangle Park (RTP) is a hub of innovation. Boxyard RTP is a unique retail space in RTP, featuring “cargotecture” — an indoor-outdoor gathering place built around shipping containers. Restaurants, retail shops, an event stage, and a dog park means plenty to explore before, during, or after the workday.
Our Objective
Before its grand opening in 2020, our goal was to create an interactive website that matched Boxyard’s edgy personality and invited the community to engage with the small businesses that call Boxyard home.

More About this Project
Before the pandemic hit, Unity Web Agency rented office space at RTP and watched Boxyard RTP come to life. We were thrilled to support this project and our friends at the Research Triangle Foundation.
Boxyard is anything but ordinary, and it’s that innovative, spunky spirit we wanted to capture in their website design — without overcomplicating things. After all, they’re a community hub, a place for people to eat, drink, play and connect with one another, so the user experience is of utmost importance.
Knowing that Boxyard would likely expand in the coming years, we created a site that could grow along with it.
